2020 Mahindra Thar interior reveled in new spy shots

The 2020 Mahindra Thar is a car off-road enthusiasts, SUV lovers and now maybe even city folks are looking forward to.

In the past, the Mahindra Thar was known for its ruggedness and after some updates, it was still cumbersome in it’s approach to city use. When we talk about city folks considering the Thar, we are talking about Mahindra making the 2020 car more road-friendly, better ergonomics like an automatic gearbox and an option of a petrol engine that is more refined and quieter. This will also mean that Mahindra will tap into the segment of new buyers who are looking for feature-rich cars.

In the recent spy shots, we have discovered online, we think Mahindra is thinking on the same lines too.

2020 Mahindra Thar Better interior?

Its 2020 and people who like the most hardcore stuff also want their SUV to be tame enough to be used every day. In the spy shots shown here, we have spotted the interior of the car clearly for the first time and as one can see, there is a lot of new stuff.

The 2020 Mahindra Thar seams to getting all new seats, cupholders, a big factory fitted touchscreen, steering mounted control and a new instrument cluster. On the right-hand side of the steering, on the dashboard, we are able to spot buttons for the traction control, hill descent and what appears to be a start-stop and ECO button. All of this combined with the functionality of cruise control are huge additions for a Thar buyer looking forward to using his car daily.

2020 Mahindra Thar Power

The 2020 Thar is going to be brand new in almost every aspect. There are also going to be new engine options with the diesel engine which will be the 2.

0-litre mill that will do duty on the XUV500 and the upcoming Scorpio. The car will get a six-speed gearbox and we suspect the automatic gearbox will be AMT unit that will be made available with the petrol engine on the top variant of the Mahindra Thar.

Prices of the new Thar will definitely be higher than the current car and we will have to wait and find out by how much will that increase. The Mahindra Thar will continue to battle with the Force Motors Gurkha in the coming year.
