What’s New?

The Mahindra XUV500 is going to have a completely new look and be revised for 2020. From the cars more macho look now we see the silhouette go to a more crossover kind of design. The roof is now less swoopy and straighter and the chink in the quarter glass is going to give way to a much modern and clean line on the side. The side also losses the cool Cheetah Claw handles and is now going to be replaced by simpler grab handles. The car will also get new alloy wheels and the rear stacked taillamps could make way for slimmer horizontal LED lights. At the front, we will see a new touch to the iconic Mahindra grille and the headlights will be full-LED units.

On the inside, there are massive changes. The XUV500 now has to compete with the MG Hector and the Kia Seltos in terms of technology. Looking inside the cabin we can understand why Mahindra has completely redesigned the interior. In the center, we can assume that there is a massive 10-inch touchscreen and the instrument cluster also looks like it has a par TFT display. The car will get more cubby holes, redesigned AC vents, new steering mounted controls and better plastics for sure.

But, the big new additions will be a panoramic sunroof, smart connected cars technology, different driving modes and power seats for driver and co-passenger. Mahindra has to step-up their game to go toe-to-toe with MG, Kia, Hyundai and Tata in this segment.
