2020 Tata Tigor Launch

The launch of the 2020 Tata Tigor will be clubbed with the launch of the Tiago. The vehicle will get a facelift and this will the talking point of this vehicle. It also will get a BS6 engine which might be shared with the Tiago. The launch will be a part of the bigger launch of the Tata Altroz. This launch will take place during early 2020. That means it will be in the month of January or during the Auto Expo 2020.

The price of the Tata Tigor will be in the range of Rs 6 to Rs 8 lakhs. The price Tata Tigor will increase on the regard to the new BS6 engine. The vehicle will also get some cosmetic changes. This all will add to the price of the vehicle. The current price of the vehicle is Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 7 lakhs. This means the vehicle will have an increase of Rs 1 lakh overall.

2020 Tata Tigor Design

The Tata Tigor front end will be new and will receive a new grille. The vehicle will get some small styling tweaks. This will also get dual-chambered lights with projector setups and 15-inch alloy wheels and dual-tone finish. The vehicle will get chrome accents along with fog lamps. The crystal inspired LED tail lamps and LED high mounted stop lamp. The colours will also get some changes and a few new will be introduced. In the interiors, The Tata Tigor interior will now get faux leatherette upholstery complemented by the fabric insert on the doors and satin chrome accents on the air vents as well as the infotainment system. Enveloped in a new black and grey colour theme, the Tata Tigor 2020 will get a new 7.0-inch infotainment system sourced from Harman, which is supported by Android Auto. Reverse parking camera with guideways, fully automatic temperature control system, etc.are also on offer.

2020 Tata Tigor Engine

The Tata Tigor gets the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel burners powering the carline. In terms of output, the petrol engine makes a top power of 84 bhp against 114 Nm torque, whereas the diesel unit emanates 69 bhp of power along with 140 Nm torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual unit and an AMT unit with drive modes for the XZA trim. This will remain the same in the 2020 facelift. There won’t be any new engine options or transmissions. Tata might drop the diesel powertrain and hybrid petrol instead. This might be done to keep the prices in check as the BS6 diesel engine will cost a tonne and will make the car expensive beyond segment.

In terms of safety, Tata Tigor features dual front airbags, engine immobilizer, ABS with EBD, speed-sensitive door locks, central lock with auto-lock feature, corner stability control and park assist with camera, among others.

The petrol version of the vehicle has a mileage of 17 km/l. The diesel is claimed to return a mileage of 21.5 km/l in ideal conditions.
