Renault Duster 2020 – New Petrol Engine!

The testing of the Renault Duster 2020 has begun. This will be a BS6 compliant vehicle of the Duster. The Company has revealed that they will stop their diesel powertrains after BS6 norms come into effect. The BS6 version will get a new engine and also a new gear box for automatic. Renault Duster 2020 Launch

The launch of the duster 2020 will take place in the month of January 2020. This Duster will not completely be a new generation car. This will have the major changes in the internals. The launch will confirm all the speculations about this vehicle.  

Renault Duster 2020 Price

The Price of the Duster will rise after this launch. The vehicle will be BS6 compliant and along with this it will get a Petrol engine. Developing the new engine will be for the car. Right now the Duster has been priced at Rs 9 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs. The BS6 update will increase the price by 10 percent. The base model will be available at Rs 10 lakhs and the prices of the top most variant will go up to Rs 15 lakhs.

Interiors of the duster will pretty much remain the same as this year. The vehicle will get some changes in terms of seat cover and colour. The infotainment systems might get some slight upgrade. The placement of the rear AC vents might also change.

The front will have the iconic 3 slat grill. The front will look like a more modern and futuristic version of the car. The headlamps will be completely LED. The hood will become flatter and longer. The side of the vehicle will have a more lines. A new set of alloys will be introduced on the duster. The car will get a sunroof. The vehicle will also get an electric tailgate. At the rear there wont be much of changes. LED placement inside the taillight will change. The design of the rear spoiler will get some slight facelift.

Renault Duster 2020 Engine

The vehicle is expected to get a 1.3 litre petrol engine. This will be BS6 compliant. The engine will produce a power of 130bhp and torque os 240Nm. The diesel drive train will be discontinued. The vehicle will be available with a 5 speed manual transmission. The automatic variant will get a CVT gearbox. We can also expect an all wheel drive system. 

Renault Duster 2020 Mileage

The duster is expected to give a mileage of 13 km/l with the petrol drivetrain. The lack of a diesel which was the main variant will cause some drop in the sales of the vehicle. Having a 13 km/l is not bad for an engine which will create 130 bhp of power.

Renault Duster 2020 Safety

The new Renault Duster is compliant with BNCAP front, side & pedestrian crash norms and is compliant with safety features stipulated by the Indian authorities. It is equipped with a host of active and passive safety features like Antilock-Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), driver and passenger airbags, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder & speed alert. All these safety features are standard across all versions of the new Renault Duster. Features such as Reverse Parking Camera, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill-Start Assist enhance the SUV capability of Duster. The new Duster offers a range of 38 different categories of innovative accessories which enhances its SUV appeal and make the drive more comfortable and convenient for the passengers.

The Duster 2020 is going to get six color options, which include Black, White, Silver, Grey, Brown and the new edition also offers two new options for customers to choose from – ‘Caspian Blue’ and ‘Mahogany Brown’

Renault Duster 2020 Competition

The Duster 2020 will compete with Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and the upcoming Maruti Vitara. The Renault Captur and Nissan Kicks will be in-house competition.
