2019 TVS Jupiter Grande becomes more millennial-centric

2019 TVS Jupiter Grande is the commuter vehicle of the TVS companies Scooters. This vehicle got an update with the instrument cluster. The scooter shows the more premium version in the Jupiter line up. There are a few new updates which overall improve the usability of the scooter. The scooter gets a good look as well as there a features which are millennial centric which will help the scooter sell well.

What we like the most about this scooter is that it comes highly feature loaded. The TVS Jupiter Grande will be more feature-loaded than the Activa 5G. In fact, the current scooter itself gets more features than the current Activa. With that said it will still be a model year product. The new Jupiter Grande is priced at Rs 59,900. This is slightly higher than the other Jupiter models like the classic and ZX disc. This cost approximately 7000 more than those variants. This pricing of the vehicle places it below the Honda rival and make it an interesting deal.

2019 TVS Jupiter Grande New Features

A few features have been introduced in the new update of the vehicle. They help it distinguish the vehicle from the normal vehicle. Starting with the light blue colour scheme. This helps to recognize the scooter from the regular model. This is combined with beige colours panels which give it a light look and makes it look more classy and grand. The seat on this vehicle is maroon and get the new logo that is embossed in a cross stitch pattern. This also dual colored and follows the dual-tone themes. They have provided the scooter with chrome on rearview mirrors. It also gets and LED headlights and machine-finished alloy wheels. The chrome on the front is now removed.

2019 TVS Jupiter Grande Engine

The TVS Jupiter Grande continues on the same engine as on the other variants. This engine produced a power of 8bhp. There is a torque of 8.4 Nm which comes at the peak.  The Engine is not BS6 compliant. This compliance is expected by the end of the deadline in April 2020. The new BS6 engine will raise the price and will make the scooter more expensive. This will affect the sales as this segment is price sensitive.

There are no major changes in the design. At a quick glance, this scooter looks very similar to the Honda Activa. The external fuel filler filling feature too makes the Jupiter very user-friendly. The scooter boasts the largest front leg space in any scooter in the segment. The design is simple and clean. There is not too much of chrome or fancy bits. The design of the alloy wheels looks modern and will definitely attract the youth. The front-wheel gets a  chrome tip on the wheel cover.

The 2019 TVS Jupiter grande will continue to use the 110cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, BS-4 compliant engine. This unit makes 8bhp and 8.5Nm of torque. The suspension on the 2019 TVS Jupiter is a telescopic setup. The ZX+Disc and Classic variants offer disc brakes as well. Disc brakes and telescopic suspension, wonder who does not offer that? Yes, the Honda Activa 5G, a scooter we hope everything comes as standard with a scooter that has become the scooter standard does not get these two vital features. The 2019 TVS Jupiter will get 12-inch tubeless tyres and alloy wheels too.
