The design of the Tata Nexon has already proved to be a head-turner and has been a great chance to see in this segment. On the design front, the only change that can appear is the new grill at the front.
The front end of the car looks chunky which gives it a good road presence. The Dual-tone treatment on the car is visible even on the front and this gives the car a good appeal. The DRLs on the provide the car with an aggressive look. The side profile looks a bit good but the big door panels make the wheels look small. The wheels on the car are sufficient for its size but they appear to be small.
The vehicle will be based on the Humanity 2.0 design lines. The car will resemble the Harrier in many aspects. Being clutter-free is the basis of the design language. This was teased at the launch of Harrier and now will see its way into the design language of the Tata Nexon too. A major change is expected in the front where the car will get Harrier like treatment.
The car gets roof rails which are there only to improve the overall look. The Tata Nexon has a Small rear window. As there will be no changes in the car the overall dimensions of the car will remain the same. The black styling around the fog lamps gives a robust character to the car The alloy wheels are sharp and diamond cut which looks sporty.

The 2020 Tata Nexon will come with the same petrol and diesel engine. The 1.2-liter turbo petrol delivers about 108bhp of power and 180Nm of maximum torque. The Tata Tiago also uses the same engine, but it gets a turbocharger in the Nexon, for better performance. The power output is also higher. It comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This is something unique in this segment for a petrol vehicle. The other engine is a 1.5-liter diesel engine that churns out about 108bhp of power and it comes with best-in-class torque of 260Nm. The diesel engine is the most powerful one in the segment and this also comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. This year the Nexon also got an AMT gearbox too. This engine is a four-cylinder one, unlike the three-cylinder one found on the Tiago. Both engines get multiple driving modes which are Eco, City and Sport.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed as there have been reports of camo-covered Nexon’s testing in Coimbatore, the headquarters of Tata’s JTP arm.
