The 2019 BMW S1000RR launched today at 18.5 Lakhs
flagship Motorcycle of BMW the 2019 BMW S1000RR has been finally launched in India. The Bike is visually different from the original design of S1000RR. This booking of this bike has also been started across dealerships. This bike has been booked at token amounts of Rs 2 Lakhs to Rs 5 Lakhs. In 2019, the company has already sold over 1,000 motorcycles.
The 2019 BMW S1000RR Price
The Standard model has priced at Rs 18.50 lakh, while the Pro and Pro M Sport have priced at Rs 20.95 lakh and Rs 22.95 lakh, respectively (all prices, ex-showroom, India).

The 2019 BMW S1000RR Design
The new bike gets all-new styling and revised livery. It continues to have the same BMW race colors. The indicators are integrated on the rear view mirrors and the styling is bold and muscular than the previous bike.
The 2019 BMW S1000RR Engine
The bike gets an updated engine with a 999cc inline four-cylinder mill that churns out 207 BHP at 8500 RPM and 113 NM of torque at 11,000 RPM. This is 8 BHP more and the peak torque comes in 500 revs later. A 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick shifter is used here. Quick shifter is a semi-automatic clutch. While lowering or increasing the gears, you do not have to press the clutch. The bike now gets lighter by 11 kgs, aided by lighter engine components, a redesigned chassis and a WSBK inspired aluminum swingarm. It now weighs 197 kgs.
The 2019 BMW S1000RR Safety
Then the electronic safety package includes Cornering ABS, disengagable race ABS, dynamic traction control, hill start assist and Road, Rain, Dynamic and Race riding modes. All this comes as standard on this bike. A six-axis IMU helps power the cornering ABS and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC).
The 2019 BMW S1000RR Variants
This year the manufacturer has introduced an M package. This is like a Race package that we get on BMW cars. This contains add-ons like launch control, wheelie control, slide control, pitlane limiter, cruise control, hill start control Pro and Race Pro riding modes. Further, you get heated grips and tyre pressure control as well. To add to this it also gets lighter carbon wheels, lighter battery, M Chassis kit, ride height adjustment, making it lighter to 193.5 kgs. All of this can be toggled via a new 6.5-inch full-TFT display.

The BMW S1000RR Suspension
The suspension is handled by fully adjustable 45mm forks at the front and a monoshock at the back and the Sachs-branded suspension has been discontinued in favor of a Marzocchi suspension, this time around.
The BMW S1000RR Braking
For braking, it gets 320mm dual discs at the front and a 270mm disc at the back, with cornering ABS as standard. The 2019 model also uses Hayes brakes instead of the Brembos that it has used so far. This will improve the braking of the bike and provide sure-footed stopping power.

The BMW S1000RR competes with bikes like the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R (Rs 13.99 lakh), the Honda CBR1000RR (Rs 16.41-19.26 lakh) and the Suzuki GSX-R1000R (Rs 19.81 lakh) (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). It also goes against the Ducati Panigale V4 and the V4S, priced at Rs 22.70 lakh and Rs 26.5 lakh, respectively (both prices, ex-showroom, India).
