2019 Mahindra XUV300 W6 AMT launched

The Mahindra XUV300 launched earlier this year has been gaining a steady stream of buyers. The SUV was launched with both, petrol and diesel engine options. Many at the time were discussing the need for an AMT to lure a segment of buyers. To tap that buyer segment, Mahindra has now launched the 2019 Mahindra XUV300 AMT. 2019 Mahindra XUV300 AMT Price

The pricing of this SUV had to be aggressive. Mahindra’s new compact SUV, we had predicted will be priced from Rs 8-13 lakhs. Now check out below what the AMT versions will cost. We had also said that Mahindra will try and differentiate it with the competition on the basis of performance and features.

2019 Mahindra XUV300 AMT Design

Let’s talk about the interior and exterior of this car. It remains the same. There is some badging that has changed and the layout of the cars center console where the gearbox is, it is slightly tweaked. The interior of the SUV gets a Mahindraisqe infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen. It has Bluetooth compatibility, reversing camera, USB and AUX connectivity. It also gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The steering wheel is a new one. This steering also has audio and Bluetooth controls mounted on it. In addition, the Mahindra XUV 300 also gets automatic climate control, leather upholstery and a push-button start with keyless entry. There is a good center armrest with storage too.

On the outside, nothing will change. The XUV300 ‘s headlamps integrate with the fog lamps forming a Cheetah-like tear-duct, while the pronounced wheel arches are inspired from the muscular haunches of the Cheetah. Its modern grille, sculpted bonnet, pronounced shoulder & body lines along with an elevated stance, give the XUV300 a bold and charismatic road presence, while the dual LED DRLs and bold LED tail lamps, create an indelible visual signature. It will get 17-inch alloy wheels and a dual tone paint job

2019 Mahindra XUV300 AMT Mileage

The petrol XUV300 with the AMT gearbox is expected to deliver 12-14 km/l in real life driving conditions. The diesel may return around 13-19 km/l. These gearboxes are expected to be more fuel efficient.

2019 Mahindra XUV300 AMT Specifications

The XUV 300 AMT gets petrol and diesel engines. The petrol is a new 1.5-litre engine that has been recently developed. This engine could be seen soon on the Marazzo. This is an all-new project, expected to power future vehicles of Mahindra. The diesel engine of the XUV 300 is the existing 1.5-litre unit with a class-leading torque figure of 300Nm. The AMT gearboxes are new here. The 6-speed units are only going to be here for some time. Mahindra will soon offer torque converters on their cars.

The car is powered with a 1.5 litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine. This delivers a power of 115bhp. It produces a torque of 300Nm. This is paired with 6 speed automated manual transmission. It also provides a creep function. This makes the vehicle move without any throttle input in both first and reverse gear. This makes parking and traffic-driving easy. This function can be disabled on demand. The creep function is also automatically disabled when the doors of the vehicle are open. There is a switch between manual and automatic mode. The manual mode seems more fuel-efficient.

The Mahindra XUV300 W6 diesel-AMT is safer than the Mahindra XUV300 W6 diesel-MT, thanks to two additional features: Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and hill-start assist with roll mitigation. Other safety equipment includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminders for the driver and front passenger, speed alert system and more.

The SUV segment is getting extremely competitive and the Mahindra XUV300 has added another option for buyers with the AMT. Mahindra is trying to make sure that this new SUV is competent to take on its competition. The Mahindra XUV300 mainly competes with the Honda WRV, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, and the Tata Nexon.
