2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 gets MotoGP edition

Suzuki Motorcycles also launched the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 in India. Today, along with the Gixxer 250, the Gixxer SF 150, a new a massive facelift for the fully faired Suzuki 155cc commuter was launched. The bike has been priced for Rs 1,09,870, Ex-showroom, Delhi. The Suzuki line-up is looking for a more spunk in the bottom range of products and the brand is addressing the issue with the launch of exciting products like the naked/street fighting version of the Gixxer. The bike is a major facelift that makes the line-up look more appealing.

2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 Price in India

If the price of the Gixxer is any indication, the bike will be launched at a lower price than the SF. The expected price for the Gixxer is going to be Rs 1,55,000 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 Specifications

This will not see a change. The same air, cooled, 150cc, the four-valve mill will be used on the naked version. The Gixxer 150 will get inverted forks, single-channel ABS and a five-speed gearbox. The bike will be similar to the Gixxer in every way except for the design. The power produced is – 14bhp and 14Nm of torque. This fuel-injected motor is known for its smoothness and bulletproof appeal. However, not all bits on the 2019 model are brand new. The twin-outlet exhaust with a chrome tip and heat shield as well as the alloy wheels are of the same design as on the old model. The suspension setup is also the same – conventional telescopic front forks and a mono-shock at the back.

2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 Design

The stunning new GIXXER SF series has bold styling, incorporating current European trends and traditional Japanese style at the same time. The Gixxer SF 150 comes with low crouched silhouette along with bold facets and flowing character lines. The Gixxer SF 150 is loaded with sporty dual exhaust muffler and 17-inch wheels. For better riding experience in the night, both motorcycles feature compact and thin LED headlight along with with a rear LED combination light. The ergonomics, too, have been revised. The 2019 Gixxer SF uses clip-on style handlebars to perform the steering duties. Its predecessor, for reference, shared a single-piece handlebar with the naked roadster variant.

Additionally, Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 offers Easy-Start System to help ensure stress-free ignition. It is also equipped with a newly developed instrument cluster, giving a sportier and premium look. The new bronze engine cover, an under cowl and newly designed wheels with machine finish further enhances the style and appearance of the motorcycle. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 is available in two colors options namely Glass Sparkle Black, & Metallic Sonic Silver/ Glass sparkle black.

The Gixxer 150 will directly compete with the FZ and the Duke 150. It will also compete with the Apache RTR 200 for the value for money proposition. The Suzuki product known for refinement and accessible performance will go up against the very formidable foes.
