The pricing of the KTM RC 125 is high for some. This will put it in competition with the Yamaha R15 V3 which is the current youth favorite in a fared sports bike. A similar kind of pricing is also seen where the Duke is valued competitively to the MT-15. Dealer expected the pricing to be about Rs 1.5 lakhs (on-road) approximately making it an exciting package to consider. Therefore, the price of the KTM RC 125 is sort of high but not completely out of proportion. The prices of the RC 125 have been increased now. This price hike has been made to increases dealer profit margins. We might see more KTM dealerships in the near future.

KTM RC125 Engine

The engine on the RC125 and the Duke are the same. The company will give this a 124.6cc DOHC engine block, which is air-cooled and it produces about 14.5bhp of power and close to 12Nm of maximum torque. This engine comes with a six-speed gearbox. This engine has decent performance and it doesn’t have that punch, one will be expecting in a KTM. This has the same frame as the 200cc version, and even the weight shall be the same. But the power is certainly lesser. This bike isn’t about performance, more about looks thereby attracting youth to buy a bike that looks similar to its elder siblings at a lower price. The handling will be good due to the posture this bike asks to maintain but this also has its drawback for daily commuting.

KTM RC125 Mileage

Expect a mileage of about 35-40km/l on this engine that has carried over from the Duke 125.  This will be a good number for this bike as most of the people who buy it will be students and will use it for their college commute.

KTM RC125 Design

We can expect to get a projector set up on the RC 125 as the look of the bike has somehow designed to have a projector setup but if at all that is not offered then you will be offered regular yellow bulb on this. The motorcycle will resemble the 200cc offering. We are expecting white, black and orange to be offered in the range.

KTM RC125 Front angle

The instrument cluster will be digital with a range of features on it as the other models. There will be a windshield and the wheels will have orange rims. RC125 will not any different from the other RC range apart from its tyre size at the rear which will be a lot thinner than the bigger versions. The KTM RC125 will have a split seat. There is not much to hold on the back on the pillion seat. The comfort levels on the pillion seat will be bad and it won’t be good for long ridesRC 125 swing arm

KTM RC125 Competiton

KTM is a brand that focuses more on the sport of bike riding more than the practicality. This lack of practicality will be now filled with a lower cc bike that they are planning to launch. After all the KTM RC 125 is a bike that punches higher than its segment. The DOHC layout will make it a fierce competitor in the 150 cc segment. This bike will be a tough competition for the Suzuki Gixxer 150 SF. Therefore this will be a nice competition as the Gixxer 150 SF also received an update recently.
