Mahindra Scorpio 2020 Price

The Mahindra Scorpio 2020 will continue with its competitive pricing. The car will not stray away from the formula of more for less. The current cars are priced from Rs 10 lakhs to Rs 17 lakhs. This won’t change much. Mahindra will make sure not to get the Scorpio into a higher price bracket.

Mahindra Scorpio 2020 Design

The design – let’s start with the exterior. The car’s design will not change much. The tough, no-nonsense front which everyone loves, will continue to be on the same lines as the Scorpios of the past. We expect it to now get a full LED headlight cluster for starters and also a completely new bonnet with more muscle. The Mahindra could get bigger wheels too. The Mahindra Scorpio 2020 will be plusher on the inside. The car will be more feature-loaded too. Expect better seats, a completely redesigned dashboard with a bigger touchscreen, a new instrument cluster which provides more information and most importantly more space in the back. We expect the Mahindra to now provide flat-folding seats too.

Below is an image that shows the car’s front and is a familiar design. We can see Mahindra giving the Scorpio a new headlight design, a bigger grille and new bumpers too. The car will also get a redesigned hood and the pillars will become thicker. This will improve the safety of the car. The car’s design will overall become more pedestrian-friendly and will also have a more aggressive look to it.

The digital rendering of how this car might look reveals that the car has become more premium than before. This due to a longer overhang behind the rear wheel. To add to this there also a lot of chrome treatments at various places. Somehow this reminds a lot of the new generation Toyota Fortuner

Mahindra Scorpio 2020 Safety

The Mahindra Scorpio 2020 is a car that is known for its rugged nature.  Along with that it also has a Ladder on Frame chassis. This gives the car a lot of body roll which brings down the safe feel of the car. As the new car has a revised platform this might be brought to some control but it will not get rid of it completely. The other safety features might include the addition of more airbags and proper seat belts. It might also get a speed warning and a seatbelt warning as the other Mahindra cars get. Therefore the Safety of the car will increase due to these factors.

Mahindra Scorpio 2020 Specifications

The new Mahindra Scorpio 2020 will be a spec enhancement over the others. The Scorpio will get the new 2.0-litre engine that Mahindra is developing. Thus, this engine will be BS6 compliant. The platform will be all-new too. This will result in a weight reduction making the car lighter by 80 Kgs. This will be mainly because the 2.2-litre mHawk engine which was used previously is used no more. The car will disc brakes on all four tyres, more electronic aids and the weight of the SUV will be going down. There will be many segment firsts in terms of features in the new Scorpio. We will have to wait for an announcement or disclosure for the same to know more.

Mahindra Scorpio Competition

The Scorpio 2020 will compete with many cars with its pricing. The SUV market is becoming too versatile. Every manufacturer is trying to capture a different section with a unique SUV and USP. The Creta, Harrier, Compass, Hexa, Hector and many others will compete with the Scorpio.
