The Hyundai Creta 2020 is now the car we look forward to. The Hyundai Creta’s next-generation model premiered as the ix25 SUV concept at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show. Accompanying the all-new Hyundai ix25 concept at the debut was the new-gen model of the Hyundai Sonata. The carmaker noted that both cars will lead the way for the company’s new design tenet – Sensuous Sportiness. The car will get more features, more safety features and will be bigger. The car is currently smaller than the XUV500 and Harrier in its class. This could change with the ix25. The car has also been recently spotted again on the road. This time we can see the rear of the car. The car looks production ready and will be soon debuting in other markets.

Check out more pictures of the car below.

The Hyundai Creta is one of the most popular cars in the Indian market. The car came to India in 2014 and was an instant hit with buyers. It is manufactured in Hyundai’s Tamil Nadu factory along with cars like the Eon, Grand i10, new-gen Verna, Elantra, Tucson, i20 Active and the i20. This year with the Creta, we saw a much-needed facelift for the car. With that, we also got a new engine in the form of the 1.6-litre petrol mated to an automatic gearbox. The facelift has made two top variants, SX and SX (O) feature loaded.

The Hyundai Creta 2020 will not have the same platform as the current generation car. It will have the same engine options mostly. But with the ix25 design and features will be a big update for this car. The Creta will have to watch it’s back with the upcoming MG Hector, Kia SP and the sales crushing Tata Harrier.

The car will be launched in the middle of next year. Hyundai will want to first show it at the 2020 Auto Expo too.

Hyundai Creta 2020 Design

Dimensions, size, and most exterior elements will increase. Weight will come down. Looking at the ix25 design, the car will be a great looking car. It also looks like Hyundai is going for the blown up headlamp configuration like the Hector and the Harrier. Weirdly, the car we see here looks very close to the production version with its door handles. The diamond cut alloy wheels with 18-inch tyres look very attractive.

Hyundai Creta 2020 Interior

The interior might receive new color options. The silver and beige combination on the current Creta looks dull and Hyundai should consider adding some better options and replacing it on the Hyundai Creta. The seats too will receive an update with fabric and leather options. This Creta already comes with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. We also expect the new BlueLink system to be added to this car. The car will also get more unique features that will be segment firsts.

 Hyundai Creta Competition

The Creta never really faced any completion and was in a segment of its own. But with big SUVs like the Tata Harrier, XUV 500 and lifestyle SUVs like the Jeep Compass coming in at its price point there cannot be said much about it not having completion. Upcoming cars like the MG Hector, Kia SP and brands like Citroen will make sure that Creta is always on its toes.
