Recently, images have also surfaced online of the made-in-India Renault Triber from the GIIAS 2019 in Indonesia, where the car has been seen with black alloy wheels. The car is made in India and will be exported there as a CBU unit. With an attractive price tag and a 3 pillar marketing structure this vehicle seems a promising deal for Renault.

Instead of getting an all-new compact SUV, Renault is looking at exploring the compact MUV with MPV practicality and hatchback-like usability. Renault is looking at adding this new MPV into the Indian car market by mid-2019. It has plans to get more vehicles on the CMF-A platform. After the Kwid this is the first product for the French company on this platform. The Renault Triber 2019 will sit below the Duster in the Renault line-up.

The engine options on the sub-four meter 7 seater are going to include a 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engine respectively. The local units of French automaker Renault India plans to export its sub-4 meter multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) Triber to the markets where it exports Kwid, a top company official told reporters here recently. “After meeting the Indian demand, we are planning to export Triber to the markets where we are exporting Kwid currently.” said a company official. Currently, Kwid is exported to Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Mauritius and South Africa. The launch of the Renault Triber has caused an increase in sales of Renault and along with this, it has created a place for the company in the market.

7-Seater Tribe mode

This is the mode wherein all seats are open and the car can seat 7 passengers. This mode allows carrying the maximum number of passengers. It is good for carpooling and can be used if the car is used as a share cab. The disadvantage here is the lack of boot space. Therefore this mode is good for intercity travel and small commutes.

5-Seater Life mode

The 5 seater life mode is when the last row of seats of the car are folded to create boot space. The last row of seats can be completely removed too. This increases the boot capacity considerably. The use of this mode can be seen in where 5 people can go for a trip comfortably with small luggage. A small one-day picnic is where this mode can be made use of.

4-Seater Surf mode

The 4 seater surf mode, as the name suggests the mode allows u to carry a long surfboard on your trips. This done by folding one seat in the second row, the car can now accommodate a full-size surfboard or a cycle.

2-Seater Camp mode

The interior of the Renault Triber is compact. The noticeable thing in the second row are the seats. For instance, the recline angle of the seats is good. The sees are not that good but the side support is good. The rear gets AC vents on the side and this saves space in the center. The instrument cluster of this car is a mix of digital and analog. In other words, the instrument cluster is attractive and easy to understand.
