Maruti Alto 2020 Design

There are multiple reports that suggest the new Alto will get a lot more SUV like looks. The Future S that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo, is likely to be the concept car for the new Alto. But now we know that the car is the S-Presso. Maruti is working on it and it will be built on the Heartect platform. This will be an all-new SUV that will go up against the Kwid. The Alto meanwhile will be a much sleeker car.

The taillights have a revised look which gives it a fresh look. The new Maruti Alto 2020 will also have a larger wheel profile. The previous generation Alto always felt under tyred and that was done to increase the mileage. But as there is an increase in the weight of this car it will create a need for larger tires.

The car has short front and rear overhangs and a raked rear windshield. The new model is likely to be based on the WagonR’s Heartect-A platform.

The standard features that will be made available on this vehicle will be a single airbag, ABS + EBD. The top model will get an optional dual airbag, touchscreen system, reverse camera and even Android Auto and CarPlay stuff. This will be a four to five-seater. The focus will be on more rear-seat space and a bigger boot as well.

The new Alto will be a competitor for the new Renault KWID. This is because could be an SUV styled car, therefore the pricing will also be on those lines too. Along with that, Maruti Suzuki is working on a range of electric products for India. This is the only brand that is working on localizing electric from its first product onwards. • Y r v still talking turbos for petrol engines!? Aren’t electric motors replacing the turbos in petrol engines? turbos r more at home in diesel mills where there only force feed air. The 660cc 3pot petrol mill with an electrical motor assist would be phenomenal!!
