The 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza you ask? We know that Suzuki and Toyota have struck a deal to share certain models in India. Suzuki will be giving Toyota the compact SUV, Vitara Brezza and the sub-four-meter hatchback, the Baleno. In return, Toyota will give Suzuki the Corolla sedan. While there has been no decision on the name of the cars when they are shared it will be hard to imagine which names will be chosen for the rebadged models. The sharing of certain products will be a win-win situation for both the manufactures. The 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza will make for filling an important product gap in the Toyota line-up.  For Maruti, the Corolla will add to their premium portfolio of cars. It will most likely be sold through the Nexa group of showrooms.

This sharing of products has been in the talks between Suzuki and Toyota for a while now. The 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza will be a product of the M.O.U signed by Toyota and Suzuki in 2017.

There is yet to be any kind of announcement from Toyota about the 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza. Our estimate is that this vehicle will be launched in the middle or second half of next year.

The price of the 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza will be very interesting to look at. According to us the price for the 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza will be priced slightly higher than the Maruti Vitara Brezza. It is expected to more premium than the Suzuki and has more features added to it.

Suzuki and Toyota are also working on making battery operated electric vehicles. There is a full-blown R&D program in place for that. The brands want to introduce electric vehicles by 2020.

2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza Design

The 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza will not have a very different stance and look from its Suzuki counterpart. There will be changes to things like the front bumper, fog lamps, headlights, the grille, the taillights, the alloy wheels design and the car will come with a variety of different color options. The 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza will look more different than the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

Things that will remain the same on the car will be the sheet metal design, the seatbelt mounting points, the length, width, and height of the car. Things like these cannot be changed due to safety reasons. Another important reason is to keep costs in check.

We can expect brands to own up to these cars and make them their own. The 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza will be assembled and made in either the Suzuki plant completely or the Toyota plant. There will several more things that will be done to keep costs down.

The 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza’s interior will be obviously having the same kind of space as the Maruti Vitara Brezza. The visible changes that will be present will be the badging of the car. There will be a new design for the instrument cluster. It’s most likely that the car will not have the same infotainment system from the donor car. The car will have different seat fabrics and mostly new seats as well.

This could also be one of the first cars Toyota offers a sunroof with. The boot-space too will remain the same. On the whole, the car is expected to have better interior quality than the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza Specifications

Now, this is the most important part for the 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza to understand. The car is going to remain a Maruti Vitara Brezza underneath. No changes will be made to the suspension, chassis, brakes, and the engine and gearbox setup. This is important as to keep the cost of production in check for this car. The car will be receiving the petrol and diesel engines along with the five-speed manual gearbox and the AMT gearbox from Suzuki. The diesel 1.3-litre on the Vitara Brezza is a solid unit. That with the AMT gearbox is a good setup for the car to come with.

The Vitara Brezza will also be getting a petrol engine soon. That too could be used in the Toyota car too. Toyota’s version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will get the Maruti Suzuki’s new 1.5-litre diesel engine.

2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza Competition

The 2020 Toyota Vitara Brezza is going to compete with the Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Honda WRV.
