The Fiat Argo Sting has been showcased at the Sao Paulo Auto show recently. The car is a regular Argo with a sporty design added to it. The Fiat Argo has been the successor for the Punto in Brazil but there is no conformation if the car will ever come to the Indian market. Here the manufactures line-up has not been performing as well as the company wanted it to.

The Fiat Argo Sting has been shown with Canary Yellow and Black and is seen with Pirelli 17” black rimmed wheels, full LED headlamps, and redesigned bumpers, a rear aerofoil, blackened mirrors and a distinctive Fiat logo.

The Fiat Argo Sting will not come to India. This car is not going to replace the Punto which is available here. The car will be made in the companies Brazil factory where it will be a highly localized product. This car has also been designed with the Fiats Brazilian design team.

Fiat Argo Sting Price

The car will not come to India anytime soon, but let’s say it comes to India. The price for the Fiat Argo Sting will be around Rs 7 lakhs for the base model and will go up to 10 lakhs for the top end Sting variant.

Fiat Argo Sting Design and Interior

The Fiat Argo Sting is a great looking car and it is the successor to the Fiat Punto. The car is the sporty version of the normal Argo. The yellow and black accents of this car get carried forward inside too. The sporty seats and the dashboard really go well with the overall character of this car. The car also gets sport dual center exhausts at the rear.

No engine specifications are revealed as on date; but the Fiat Argo Sting could get its power via a 139bhp, 1.8 liter, naturally aspirated engine mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission.

The Fiat Punto was discontinued because it was a 13 year old car and the Argo is a new safer, bigger and more efficient choice overall. The Argo Sting will compete with the Baleno, i20 and the Honda Jazz.

  • I drove a Punto for 8 years – i found it too small, but otherwise its a nice car. I’ve been inside the Argo just once – but must admit i really do like it. Was hoping for that sporty version to be available for purchase, but nevermind.
