Our roads demand ground clearance. We love a car with great driver visibility. And most of all; we love a good powerful petrol engine in a sedan. The aforementioned properties are all present in the Ford Freestyle Sedan which comes is being called the Ford KA Urban Warrior Concept.

This car is going to be debuting at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in November.

Ford Freestyle Sedan Launch

While this is a very interesting product and the car seems to be the ideal sedan for India conditions; we don’t think that Ford will bring the Ford Freestyle Sedan to India anytime soon. Even if it is considered. It will be at least a year from now.

A practical date would be 2020.

Ford Freestyle Sedan Price

Let’s say if this car is launched in India, it will be placed over the Freestyle, which is priced from 5.23 lakh to 7.93 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Ford Freestyle Sedan could be priced from Rs 5.90 lakhs to Rs 8.80 lakhs. Currently, Volvo offers a cross-styled sedan; the S60 Cross Country.

Ford Freestyle Sedan Design

The Ka Urban Warrior is an cross version of the Ford Aspire facelift with rugged body kit borrowed from the Freestyle, both of which were launched in India this year. However, it’s worth noting that the Brazil-spec Ford Ka (Aspire is known as the Ka sedan in Brazil) is longer than four meters. with that important detail in mind and the recent launch of the face-lifted Aspire and the new Ford Freestyle, we don’t think this car will come to India.

Ford Freestyle Sedan Interior

The interiors are similar to the Freestyle and Aspire facelift that we have in India and features the 6.5-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen unit as well. However, it appears to be equipped with leatherette seats instead of the fabric ones that we get in India. Other than that there are no major changes and differences.

Ford Freestyle Sedan Engine

The car is powered by a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon series petrol engine. This engine can also be found in the EcoSport and the petrol-automatic variant of the Aspire sold in India.

Ford Freestyle Sedan Competition

There is now cross-sedan right now in India. There is the Volvo S60 cross country, but that’s Rs 45 lakhs.

The car will be in a segment of it’s own. The car will be very interesting and will make buyers think about spending a little bit more money in the name of protection and space.
