Hero MotorCorp’s second major launch alongwith the Maestro Edge, on 29th September will be the Duet. Leaked brochures of the Duet reveal the details of Hero’s latest offering. The Hero Duet is positioned below the Maestro Edge.

The Hero Duet measures 1830mm in length, 725mm in width and 1140mm in height with a wheelbase of 1245mm . The scooter is marginally larger than the Maestro Edge also weighs more with a kerb weight of 116 kgs. The same 110.9cc single-cylinder as the Maestro Edge does duty in the Duet, churning out 8.2bhp at 8000 and 8.30Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The suspension setup comprises of telescopic front forks and shock absorbers at the rear. It has steel wheel rims unlike alloy wheels of the Maestro Edge but has tubeless tyres. It also get the integrated braking system as standard. The Duet gets an all-metal body, indicating that this is targeted towards semi-urban areas too.

The Hero Duet will be available in two variants – LX and VX, and comes with an external fuel filler with buzzer, mobile charging USB socket, combination lock , under seat storage lamp as well as front and rear luggage hooks. The digital-analog instrument cluster is carried over from the Maestro Edge and comes with a service reminder too. The Duet will compete with the Honda Activa-i.
