Maruti Baleno Interiors Spied

The upcoming premium hatchback from Maruti Suzuki – Baleno, is set for its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show next week and this time the interiors of the car have been spied.

The Baleno will feature projector headlamps which also house LED daytime running lights, chrome door handles keyless entry, turn indicators on ORVMs and a rear spoiler. It will sport 16” alloy wheels too. Coming to the interiors, the instrument panel has sporty looking dials with with blue coloured illumination.

The centre console has a touchscreen multimedia audio system with buttons illuminated in amber colour. The steering which is similar to the one on the S-Cross, has controls for audio and bluetooth. It also gets automatic climate control and dual front airbags.

The Baleno will be positioned above the Swift, in the company line-up and will compete with  Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20. It will offered in 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced diesel engines. India launch of the Baleno is scheduled to take place by November this year. The Baleno will be built at the Maruti Suzuki India plant in Manesar and shall be exported to Europe too. It is expected to be priced at about INR 6.75 lakhs to INR 10.5 lakhs (on-road).
