Mahindra KUV100 –LOGO leaked -EXCLUSIVE

It seems now that the rumours will soon come to an end for the name of the S101.

This micro-SUV from Mahindra is most likely to be called as KUV100, and not CUV100 or XUV100 as the official logo of the company has been made as KUV100. This time around Mahindra senior executives have been very tight-lipped about the name for this new micro SUV.

Mahindra will be looking at introducing the KUV100 this year itself and this will be the company’s next major product. The KUV100 is a new monocoque chassis and it will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre diesel engine option. The KUV100’s engines have been recently developed by Mahindra and Ssangyong together.

There will also be an option of an AMT (automated manual transmission) as well.

Mahindra will badge it as 100 as it will be smaller than the TUV300 in size.

This product is targeting first-time car buyers and the Indian auto maker is looking at increasing its market share in the UV1 and compact crossover segment with its range of upcoming products.

The Mahindra KUV100 will be targeting first-time car buyers and will be a five-seater. This will be a direct competition to the i20 Active and it is of the similar size. Mahindra didn’t have a strong presence in the UV1 segment and now it will have the TUV300, KUV100 and soon the Quanto facelift too.
