Royal Enfield’s most awaited motorcycle, the Himalayan has been caught on camera once again.

This time a very clear image has surfaced, highlighting some styling cues too.

The pic of the Himalayan was captured by Motor Vikatan. The bike has a single-tube chassis with a new sub frame along with saddle bag / pannier brackets, at the rear and an inclined exhaust pipe. The Himalayan shared many parts with the Continental GT such as the headlight, instrument cluster, switchgears and rear view mirrors.

Royal Enfield is likely to showcase the Himalayan in the last week of November, at Rider Mania event. The official launch of the Himalayan is most likely to be in the next year, but RE will be showcasing the off-roader bike this year.

The Himalayan has a new oil-cooled, single cylinder, four stroke 410 cc motor that produces 29 bhp of maximum power and 32 Nm of peak torque. This will be a 410cc engine, which has been designed for the upcoming RE motorcycles and it will be replacing the currently sold 350cc engines. The bike will also sport a a 6-speed gearbox.

Rear wheel measures 18 inches and the front wheel is 21 inches. The Himalayan will also be the first bike from Royal Enfield to feature a monoshock.

As Royal Enfield gears up to spearhead design and development of its future motorcycles, targeted globally, through its design cente in UK, the company is also trying to improvise on their product line up in India, in view of increasing competition especially from international manufacturers and is experimenting with products into new segments.

When launched, the Himalayan will be the only 400 cc adventure tourer in India.
