Volvo S90 spotted. India-bound

Volvo has announced that it is working on the S90, which will be the replacement for the S80.

The S90 will be globally launched in 2016, however it should land on Indian shores by 2017.

The Volvo S90 is likely to be revealed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show or maybe even Detroit Show. The S90 will retain a lot of the design cues of the XC90, as this will be the new design language of the Scandinavian automaker. The S90 will be getting the new four-cylinder engines from Volvo that are also powering the XC90.

The LED headlamps get the T-shaped DRLs and sleek silhouette too.

The dimensions of the S80 will be a little bit more than that of the S80 and it will be based on Volvo’s new SPA (Scalable Platform Architecture). The S90 will be powered by the Drive-E range of turbocharged engines with a displacement of 2.0-litre; this will have a power output between the 190bhp to 400bhp range. This will come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Volvo’s S90 images were spotted by one of our readers in Europe, as this new sedan was been tested.
