Kinetic World, part of the Pune-based Kinetic Group of companies, has tied up with the Italian firm MV Agusta to introduce their superbikes in India and plans to set up a network of premium showrooms in select cities across the country.

The MV Agusta range consists of high-performance motorcycles in the 800cc to 1078cc engine category, delivering power between 110bhp to 212bhp. These include products like the Brutale, Rivale, Turismo Veloce, F3 and the flagship F4. The bikes will be brought in using the CBU and SKD route and will be priced in the range of  INR 13 lakhs to INR 34 lakhs (on-road).

Ajinkya Firodia, managing director, Kinetic World, said, “We are really excited to be bringing these extraordinary machines to India, for riders who demand the utmost performance from their bikes. MV Agusta sportsbikes and superbikes are packed with high-end technology and race-derived electronics, which come together to offer an unbeatable blend of power, performance and handling.” Kinetic is looking at launching the first bike in November this year and has announced that it could launch athe remaining motorcycles over the next 2-3 years. The homologation process is already underway and the dealership network is being set up across the country.

MV Agusta is a 70-year old Italian motorcycle manufacturer, once famous for making small capacity ‘cafe racer’ styled bikes and also winning a number of Moto GP races throughout the 50’s and 60’s. The current range of  motorcycles compete with other premium performance makes like Ducati and BMW.  The MV Agusta will be the fifth Italian motorcyle brand to foray into India, following Ducati, Aprilia, Benelli and Moto Guzzi.
