Honda, the Japanese automaker, has released the official design sketches of its newly-developed Brio-based BR-V (Bold Runabout Vehicle) compact SUV. Being codenamed as 2SJ, Honda BR-V would have its world premiere at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show 2015 in August. Honda describes BR-V as “a new generation crossover utility vehicle” with “tough and solid exterior design with high ground clearance, big and stylish alloy wheels and sleek roof rails.”

It is the third model to be developed by HRAP. As for exterior styling, one can clearly see a high-mounted front chrome grille, a CR-V-esque two part grille and the front bumper placed lower. At the rear end, the tail-lamp cluster looks identical to the Mobilio MPV. The Japanese automaker has confirmed that BR-V would be launched in a seven-seat version with three-row configuration. Honda BR-V would come loaded with a a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, i-VTEC petrol engine which would deliver “sporty performance and great fuel efficiency”, says Honda.
