Chevrolet has introduced the all-new 2016 Cruze, which si the brand’s best-selling global car. The Cruze 2016 gets Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and new active safety features too. The new Cruze will be offered in over 40 global markets, which includes India as well in 2017.

The Cruze has been revealed with a range of new engines and one of them is the 1.4-litre petrol that produces about 153bhp of power and is available with a six-speed automatic transmission. The new engine is lighter by 113 kilograms, reducing the excess flab on the sedan without any kind of compromise on the performance. There will also be a diesel engine for the Indian car market and even US will get a diesel. It could be the 1.7-litre instead of the existing 2.0-litre in India, however we will still have to wait for that.

The sedan will also be offered with projector headlamps with light-emitting diode (LED) signature lighting – and LED daytime running lamps on higher trim variants.

New, available features including wireless phone charging, heated rear leather seats and heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The new Cruze is larger than the outgoing version but it is still 24 kilograms lighter. Chevrolet has used some light-weight materials to reduce this weight. Aluminum is used strategically in the suspension systems to optimize weight and handling characteristics.
