Honda had announced to launch 15 products this year of which the four upcoming will be models that will be re-introduced. The four models are CB Trigger, CB Dazzler and the CB Twister. On speaking to a couple of Honda dealers we learnt that these bikes were discontinued but now it will be brought back as a new model year.

At the moment in the 150cc, Honda only has the CBR-150R in its portfolio.

The CB Unicorn 150 has been discontinued and only the 160cc is available. The CB Trigger and CB Dazzler will make a comeback as a new model year. The CB Trigger update will be only cosmetic and will get some new stickers and that’s about it.

Honda will want to populate the 150cc segment and for those who need Unicorn, will have to stick to the 163cc version. Honda’s CB Twister will also get a new model year and this will help them expand their current bike portfolio.

Honda wants to eat into Hero’s rural market share with the 100cc bike.

Hero has multiple body shapes on one engine and that is exactly what even Honda has been doing. The brand wants to offer so many options to bike buyers that they do not go to any other bike maker’s showroom.

Honda is also already the leader in the scooter segment and is targeting to achieve something similar in the motorcycle segment as well.
