Mercedes-Benz will be introducing the facelift version of the ML-Class and re-badge it as the GLE. This will be launched around August and the dealerships in metro cities have already started taking bookings for the GLE. The GLE will be priced between INR 56-63 lakhs and the bookings have so far opened for the GLE 350 CDI, which is a 3.0-litre V6 engine.

The initial lots will be only of the 350 CDI and the 250 CDI engine will be on offer at a latter stage, The GLE will compete with the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3. As the festive season is closing in, the Stuttgart-based auto maker will be looking at utilising it to result in best possible sales. The company will have 15 launches for this year and that is indeed a lot.

The CLA-Class and the C-Class are the new sales boosting products.

The GLE’s interiors also get an update with a new COMAND system and an upgraded screen. There shall be panoramic roof and the instrument cluster will also be changed.

The GLE is already available in Europe and it will be coming in India soon. August is when we could expect the GLE to be launched in India.
