Maruti will be unveiling the S-Cross on the 7th of June at the IIFA ceremony night, which is an awards night in Malaysia. The new S-Cross will be competing with the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano. The interiors of the S-Cross are a lot similar to the S-Cross that is sold in the UK. There is a touchscreen at the centre with reverse parking camera and similar features that we have seen on the Ciaz.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross even has rear AC vents, which means it has been worked upon by Maruti Suzuki for Indian car buyers. The S-Cross even daytime running LEDs and then there are more features on the S-Cross that make it high potential cross in its segment. The S-Cross will be powered by a 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engine and other petrol it will be the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre options. This will be even competing with Hyundai’s Creta as well, which is due to be launched in the coming months.

The S-Cross will be available in the new premium Maruti Suzuki dealerships, codenamed as Nexa. This dealership will be selling the Ciaz and the S-Cross to begin with. The S-Cross will become the flagship model for the company as the Kizashi and the Grand Vitara have been discontinued. The pricing of the S-Cross will be about INR 11-16 lakhs on road. This is the Duster and Terrano price territory, however this will be a front-wheel drive and no all-wheel drive shall be made available. On the other hand, Maruti has been testing several different kinds of accessories for S-Cross buyers, as one of the crosses was spotted with a roof carrier.
