Hero’s 250cc bike launch between April – July 2016

Hero MotoCorp is working towards introducing its first 250cc motorbike, which was showcased as a concept at the 2014 Auto Expo. The Hero HX250R that was showcased at the motorshow will soon be reality. The Hero 250cc bike will be launched in India and will also be exported to other markets. The Hero HX250R launch has been delayed as all the projects that Hero was outsourcing to EBR were delayed as the American company faced bankruptcy. Our sources confirm that this bike will be launched this year itself.

Hero HX250R Safety:

Hero will be introducing Combi-ABS or Integral ABS on the HX 250R. This will be helpful for fade-free braking of their new flagship product. The new Hero HX 250R’s braking technololy cannot be named as Combi-Brake or Combi-ABS, hence they might name it something like C-ABS or Integral-ABS.

This is very similar to how Honda ABS technology works.

Hero HX250R Technology:

The HX 250R will be launched in two models, non-ABS and ABS. Hero will be introducing the HX 250R with dual maps or rather Dual Mode Fuel injection (DMFi). The HX 250R will be the first Indian motorcycle to have this feature and it will be priced at about INR 1.

05 lakhs (on-road), very close to the Pulsar 200NS. Hero will be competing with all the bigger players in the 250cc segment and it will try to play its price trump card over the competition.

Hero HX250R Riding Modes:

Hero HX 250R is the first 250cc engine developed by Hero and it gets a first in-class feature of two different riding modes for comfort and sports riding.

Hero HX250R Top Speed

The bike weighs just under 140 kgs. It will have a top speed of close to 160km/hr.

Hero other 250cc bikes:

Hero MotoCorp is looking at increasing its market share in the automatic scooter segment and at the same time even looking at widening its portfolio by the introduction of the new flagship bike the HX 250R. This will be followed by an off-roader version bike with the same engine. It will be either the HX 250TR or Impulse 250.
