Mercedes-Benz working on Audi TT competition

There has been a rumour floating around that Mercedes-Benz has started working on an Audi TT Coupe competition car. Now, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer already has a front-wheel drive platform and as per a report they are already developing it on the next-generation A-Class platform.

This new platform will be made available with a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. There will also be an AMG version of this, which will be powered by the 2.0-litre four-cylinder AMG engine too. This will come mated to a seven-speed DCT and will be a 4MATIC producing about 400 brake horsepower.

The design of the new TT competition is unknown however it is Theophilus Chin, who has photoshopped the front and rear design of the new Mercedes-Benz TT Coupe competition.

Audi will be introducing the TT Crossover also soon and other body styles on the TT platform.  This design is a lot similar to the A-Class Coupe, which is what Mercedes-Benz might be looking at doing.

This new Coupe will be launched in 2019 as Mercedes-Benz is at the moment developing the new A-Class platform. There will be a lot more products on the MFA platform, unlike the current one that has five at the moment.
