Another MotorOctane story comes true! Maruti Suzuki’s premium dealership will be called as Nexa, as we had mentioned earlier on. However, as per the latest ET report, Maruti Suzuki will be introducing the NEXA as a new premium car brand. At the moment, only between 1-3 percent of Maruti Suzuki sales comes from products that are priced in excess of INR 10 lakhs.

Maruti Suzuki will have a separate management for the NEXA range of dealers. The company has formed the separate management and it will be headed by Partho Banerjee.

The new NEXA brand will be launched with the S-Cross and there won’t be any other products including the Ciaz, Swift range and even Ertiga won’t be a part of this dealership range. Maruti Suzuki will be looking at introducing all new range of products for NEXA.

Maruti Dealership

The SX4 Cross, the seven-seater MPV and the new range of SUVs that will be launched in 2018 will be introduced by Maruti Suzuki under the NEXA brand. Kizashi might also make a come back too. Maruti is targeting to have 100 outlets in the next 12-18 months, and it will be later on expnding into smaller cities and interior areas. One of the representatives who are aware of these plans mentioned, “The company is likely to test the waters with the S Cross … there are other models in the pipeline, which could be sold through these outlets, but they will depend on how the premium outlet model evolves.” Once the new channel comes into place, the existing dealers won’t be able to sell cars in excess of INR 10 lakhs.
