Fiat will be unveiling the new generation Linea (to be renamed as something else) on the 21st of May at the Istanbul Motor Show. The Italian carmaker has released a teaser of the sedan’s tail lamp. FCA Style Centre has designed the new Linea or the Bravo and it has been jointly developed with Turkey’s Tofas. The tail lamp image that has been shared has a C-shaped styling and it does look contemporary.

Fiat claims that the new Linea will spacious, comfortable, powerful, efficient and even lighter than the currently sold one and it will still retain the flair that all the Italian designed cars have. This will be designed on Fiat’s all-new platform, the SCA (Small Car Architecture) and will share the underpinnings with the Fiat 500X, 500L, Jeep Renegade.

The Linea will be launched by this year-end in Europe and the deliveries will commence in early 2016. For India, it will be made available in 2017. This new platform will be manufactured in Ranjangaon, India and Turkey plans.

It will be exported to other markets from India and Turkey. The new Punto will also be manufactured in these two markets. Fiat is working on a new B-segment and the Punto, both of which will be launched in India in 2017.

The new Linea will come with a 1.

3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engine options (for India it will be 1.5-litre) and the petrol will be the 1.4-litre T-JET and the 1.4-litre FIRE.
