The Suzuki Gixxer 250 was launched today. This is a good move by Suzuki as the 200-250cc segment is now growing and many enthusiasts are looking for an upgrade or for higher capacity bikes. Suzuki is aiming to counter the Yamaha FZ25 and Fazer25, while it will also target the KTM RC200 and Duke 200. Suzuki’s are known to be very powerful with smooth delivery. The quality standards will also be better than most. Some key points on this bike are –

  • A SOHC engine which is oil cooled. This helps in performance
  • The bike gets a lot of stuff inspired by Suzuki’s experience in MotoGP
  • The bike gets a full LED headlamp and taillamp setup.
  • The bike also gets a stiffer suspension setup.
