Kawasaki had announced to launch three new bikes in India at the unveiling of their flagship bike Ninja H2.

The three bikes that are due to come to India are the Z250SL, Ninja ZX-6R and the Vulcan S. Following are the details of the three bikes:

Kawasaki Z250SL: Kawasaki is already selling the Z250, however this will be the Z250SL, which is a 249cc single-cylinder four-stroke bike with liquid-cooled engine. This bike produces about 27.6bhp of power and 25Nm of peak torque. The Z250SL is taller than the Z250 and has a more aggressive stance.

The Z250SL comes equipped with a fully digital instrument console, a stepped saddle and a longish exhaust. It also weighs about 20kg less than the Z250 as it has only one cylinder instead of two. This also makes it a lot more affordable at INR 2.5 lakhs (on-road) and a good competition to the KTM Duke 200 and the Benelli TNT 25. Expect the bike to come to India by the CKD route, that is only when it becomes affordable and be launched in India by mid-2015.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R 636: This is a new 636cc four-cylinder engine bike that produces 129bhp of power. This will be the second 600cc bike to get four-cylinder configuration in India after the Benelli. This is a fully faired bike that will take on the Triumph Daytona. There is no clarity if this bike will come by CKD or CBU, as Autocar states it to be CBU and its pricing to be close to INR 12-13 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The ZX-6R and ZX-6R 636 are both different bikes. The Ninja ZX-6R 636 has a part digital instrument console that displays the analogue tachometer. It comes with fairing- mounted mirrors too and a stepped saddle.

Kawasaki Vulcan S: The Vulcan S is a cruiser that shares its engine with the already existing Ninja 650. As the demand for cruiser bikes is in on the rise, the Vulcan S will be powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine that will produce 60bhp of power. This cruiser bike will make its way into India by the CKD route and will be priced at about INR 6 lakhs.

Expect the bike to come in the second half of 2015.
