Bajaj will be launching the Pulsar AS 200 today in three colours black, blue and red.

The blue will be the same like the Pulsar 200 NS. One of our readers spotted the bikes while they were being cleaned for the upcoming launch. AS stands for adventure sports and this will be the company’s new range of bikes that will be launched from today. The Pulsar AS 200 gets the same engine like the 200 NS, it has a liquid-cooled 199cc carburetted engine that produces about 23bhp of power at 9750rpm and a torque of 18.6Nm at 8000 rpm. This comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. This one isn’t fuel injected like the RS 200 and it doesn’t even get the single channel ABS also. The Pulsar AS 200 will be priced between the 200 NS and the RS 200, somewhere at about Rs 1.

25-1.3 lakhs on the road, after all the taxes. The AS 200 is more like a half-fairing version of the 200 NS. There is no extra engine guard at the bottom to protect the engine, when you go off-roading.

This will be a new range of bikes from Bajaj and one could expect the AS 150 also to be launched in the near future.

Bajaj now has three products in the 200cc range, one is a naked version, second adventure and the third is a full fairing version. This will help the Indian bike manufacturer to cover up all the aspects that a bike biker maybe looking at. The Pulsar is Bajaj’s flagship brand and after the 200cc, Bajaj will be focusing on the 150cc with its new range of bikes.
