There have been some rumours floating that Maruti Suzuki could call its premium dealership as Nixa, however this name is incorrect as from what we understand it will be Nexa or Auros. There is no confirmation from Maruti Suzuki on this, and we have wait for a bit longer.

The premium products from Maruti Suzuki should include the Swift hatchback, Swift DZire, Ertiga and the Ciaz at the moment. The Kizashi, the Vitara Brezza and the YRA (or the iK-2) will be also come under the premium category. About 20 dealerships will be opened in the initial phase and later on this will be expanded.

Maruti Suzuki is looking at expanding its portfolio as it is due to launch a new premium hatchback above the Swift (codenamed as YRA and iK-2), the Vitara Brezza (competition to the Ford Ecosport), Suzuki S-Cross (competing with the Renault Duster). With all these new products, Maruti Suzuki will be looking at making these car buyers fell more premium and also it believes that it would accelerate its sales in this segment. Previously, Maruti Suzuki hasn’t been successful with the Baleno, SX4, Grand Vitara or even the Kizashi.

With a new set-up, we can expect Maruti Suzuki to address these set of audience and capture a bigger chunk of the premium car segment in India. The regular dealerships will continue to sell all the models through the existing dealerships. With over 1000 touch points in India, Maruti Suzuki is looking at expanding its reach in India.
