Hero MotoCorp will have about 35 launches in the next three years, this includes the two new scooters (110cc and 125cc), the 250cc sports bike and many new 100cc bikes. As Hero is paying royalty to Honda for the bike technology it has been utilising, the Indian bike maker is developing its own 100cc petrol engine.

This will power the upcoming range of Hero bikes.

But Hero isn’t just working on a regular 100cc commuter bike.

Our sources have confirmed that the Hero Splendor Pro Classic, was an experiment from the company to understand if the 100cc market could be diversified. After the success of this bike, Hero is now working on an off-road bike and a sports bike (semi or fully faired) bikes. These will work well in the rural part of the country and the other developing countries, which Hero is looking at to export.

At the moment, Hero is developing its new 100cc engine for its new range of bikes. The first two bikes that will be launched will be a commuter bike and second one will be with a sporty version. There are plans to introduce off-road version too. The initial plan was to carry forward the Passion brand like Splendor, but there seems to a change of thought and Hero could introduce a new 100cc brand altogether.

These are the two bikes that Hero will be looking at to introduce immediately. The other launches for this year include the Hero Maestro Edge, which will be a new scooter and the 250cc bike.
