The next-generation Toyota Fortuner’s front was snapped and now someone has gone about to share the complete front three-quarter view of this Toyota SUV with FlyWheel. The new Fortuner is due to be launched next year, however the production of the current-generation Fortuner will commence sometime around mid-2015.

The Fortuner and the Hilux share the same platform and do look identical, however this time around the SUV and the pick-up will not retain any similar in styling, as both of them have a different fascia. The front does look aggressive and it gets sleek headlamps with a chrome-filled front grille. The headlamps will have LEDs integrated into them and this will make them look a lot more premium. Toyota is moving away from the bulky and boxy design of the Fortuner. Even the glass-area is lesser to give the new Fortuner a bold stance.

The C-pillar gets blacked-out pillar.

The new Fortuner will be powered by petrol and diesel engines, however the Indian market will be getting only the diesel. This will be made available in manual and automatic transmission variants. The new Fortuner will be lighter than the currently sold Fortuner and the Japanese manufacturer will be downsizing the 3.0-litre engine too. The new engine will be a derivative of the existing engines, however they will generate more power and torque. This will help Toyota to enhance the fuel efficiency and at the same time even bump up the performance too.
