The Tata Indigo CS was the first compact sedan the country ever had. This car showed us, that it was possible in transporting 5 people in a car with a wheelbase similar to a hatchback, while and also have a boot like a sedan. The Indigo CS was not very successful when it came out first in 2008. It did well in the private taxi market. But the best thing about the Indigo CS was, that it kick started a whole new segment of cars in our country. The compact sedan class with the Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Ford Aspire, all owe their existence to the launch of the Tata Indigo CS.

Tata Safari

The Tata Safari was India’s first real and full size SUV. It was launched way back in 1998. The Safari has a strong following of fans in India, and even in some other parts of the world where it is sold. The Safari has evolved and the latest flagship model in this line is dubbed the Storme. Over the years this car has continued to impress and make sure the customers and audiences are delighted and always surprised by the car. It had to be a car that could be afforded and maintained by all average individuals. The 800cc motor was a motor tuned for economy and dependability. The first cars did not even have AC offered.
