2019 KTM Duke 250 coming next year with ABS

The KTM Duke 250 was the last new model from the company. This was launched more than a year back. The Duke 250 was manufactured in India for quite some time, but it was only exported. It was last year, that the company thought of introducing it to the Indian market. The KTM Duke 250 in India, is the global spec bike and has no change. The 2019 KTM Duke 250 will get minor upgrades. The basic design and styling will be the same. The mechanicals would also remain the same. There will be an improved instrument pod in place and new body graphics. It will also get new colours, as part of the model year launch.    There will also be ABS offer on this bike. 

2019 KTM Duke 250 Price in India

The 2019 KTM Duke 250 will cost about INR 1.95 lakhs for the non-ABS version and INR 2.5 lakhs for the ABS version. This bike provides a good option to those who find the Duke 390 a little stretch. This bike is a good option to the Yamaha FZ 25 and also the Bajaj Dominar 400.

2019 KTM Duke 250 Design

The 2019 KTM Duke 250 will not look any different from the current model. It will still feature the same headlamp and not the split on of the Duke 390. There will be a LED surround and a halogen headlamp. The seats and the rear end will also be the same. This will not see any change.

The 2019 Duke 250 will get an upgraded instrument pod, however, it will not get the TFT screen. That is exclusive to the 390. This instrument will give out more info and will have a better resolution too.

2019 KTM Duke 250 Engine

The 2019 KTM Duke 250 will come with the same 249cc, four-stroke single cylinder engine. This engine is liquid cooled. It blts out  29bhp at 9000rpm and a torque of 24Nm at 7500rpm. This is a powerful machine and it comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The 2019 Duke 250 will be mounted on a Trellis frame. The fuel tank will be a metal one,  the capacity will be the same will be 13.5-litres.  There will be a slipper clutch offered, just like before. The exhaust might see a minor change n design. The 2019 KTM Duke 250 will sport open cartridge USD forks. These will also feature adjustments on the go.

The 2019 Duke 250 will have good and punchy acceleration. It would have a slightly larger sprocket, hence it would feel torquey.

2019 KTM Duke 250 Chassis

Just like the other KTM siblings, the new KTM Duke 250 has the same light tubular trellis frame with bolt-on sub-frame. In terms of suspension, the front gets telescopic fork and a monoshock for the rear. The bike will weigh about 161 kilograms.  There will be 17-inch wheels on 110mm and 150mm front and rear tyres, respectively.

The KTM Duke 250 will get the same front USD forks, that will make the handling superior, as the current bike. This is a refined bike and free from  any vibrations. The 2019 version will get an ABD too. This will be a good move by the company as the lack of ABS would be a deterrent for this bike.

2019 KTM Duke 250 Mileage

The 2019 KTM Duke 250 is expected to return around 30km/l in city riding conditions. On the highway it should return around 35km/l. This will depend upon ones own riding style and conditions.
