The Hyundai Santro is here finally. The car is expected to rattle the likes of Tata Tiago, Datsun Go, Maruti Ignis and the Maruti Celerio. The car is going to be commemorate 20 years of the Hyundai brand. The 2018 Hyundai Santro CNG too will also come with it. The CNG version will be available in the Magna and Sportz variant of the car.

This will be the first Hyundai to come with factory fitted CNG. This CNG version will not have any new features or any different specifications. The use of this car will be seen more in the metros and not tier two and three cities. All this does not mean that the car will not be feature loaded. It will in fact be available in the Sportz and Magna version of the car. Hyundai will want to make the Santro CNG into a great value for money deal. The CNG market is very famous and highly regarded by the fleet operators of our country.

The 2018 Hyundai Santro CNG has been launched together with the petrol models of the car. This will be soon. This car will see a lot of interest from the commercial and even the private taxi groups. 2018 Hyundai Santro CNG Price

CNG variants Ex-showroom
Magna ₹5.23 lakhs
Sportz ₹5.64 lakhs

The 2018 Hyundai Santro CNG is expected to be around ₹30,000 more expensive than the regular variant of the new Santro. This is a small luxury to pay when you plan to spend frugally on fuel in the future. Also, according to the leaked price list of the Santro, the car will be a steal in the top spec models of Magna and Sportz. The only let down for CNG buyers is that the car won’t come with in the range topping Asta variant. So if the base price of the regular Santro in the DLite variant starts around ₹3.8 lakhs, the Santro CNG for with the Magna and Sportz models starting at ₹5.66 lakhs is not bad considering the features on offer.

The car will be good when it comes to mileage. We expect the 2018 Hyundai Santro CNG to get at least 16km/kg in the city to 22km/kg. The compromise here will be lesser power from the engine. 2018 Hyundai Santro CNG Design

There is not going to be any difference in the design of the Santro CNG when it comes to design. The fluidic design 2.0 will form the base for the new Hyundai Santro 2018 is based. The tall boy proportions are subdued and it will not be too boxy either. It will look much better than the old model. The same USPs of the old Santro will reflect on the new Santro. 2018 Hyundai Santro

Hyundai will want to continue with its strong design elements and add the Fluidic Sculpture on the Hyundai Santro 2018. 2018 Hyundai Santro CNG Interior

The interior of this car won’t be any different from its petrol powered cousins. There will be the extra control panel of the CNG system on board. The car will have a premium and durable plastic finish. There will be good fabric seats too. And since the car will go up against the CNG king, WagonR, we expect it to get better kit than the Maruti. It could get power windows on all four doors, ABS+EBD, automatic climate control and a touch screen infotainment system. The rear will get a charging socket if not rear AC vents. There could be a rear windshield wiper given too. This could also become the cheapest car to get keyless entry and start stop. There would be a lot of storage and the car will have many good cubby holes.
