Harley Davidson Pan America to launch in 2020

Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 will be the new bike from the American maker. With this bike, the company will enter the adventure motorcycle segment for the first time. It has his eyes on BMW, KTM and Ducati and will mainly compete with them. The Pan-America is a unique design which gets a ‘love it’ or ‘hate it’ kind of styling. Harley Davidson has also revealed that they would building 250cc to 500cc range of bikes in India. Their plan for the next ten years has been revealed by the company. This would call for further investment but is imperative for the growth of the brand.

The Harley Davidson Pan-America would be launched in 2020. This bike will be built on a new modular platform that will also spawn out more new models. This will be a proper adventure tourer and will feature a tall front suspension and a rear monoshock. It will have a V-Twin 1250cc liquid cooled engine. Read further to know more.

The Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 will be launched by 2020. The bike is under development and the picture of the prototype has been revealed. A new moduler platform will underpin this bike. This will mark Harley’s entry into the adventure motorcycle segment.

Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 Price

The new Harley Davidson 250cc bike will be priced around Rs.18 lakhs upwards. It will compete with the BMW 1200 GS, Ducati Mutlistrada 1250S and KTM Adventure 1290 Super Adventure. Harley fans who want to enter adventure motorcycling will be provided with an option. It will also provide an alternative to the existing brands in the market. It will be interesting to see how Harley establishes itself in this new segment.

Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 Specifications

Not much is known as of now, but the Harley Davidson 1250 Pan-America will be powered by a twin cylinder 1250cc liquid cooled engine. The engine will be tuned for adventure riding. It will behave differently as compared to cruisers.

  This engine would likely produce a torque of about 95Nm. There would be a 6-speed gearbox mated to this engine. It would sport twin front and a rear disc brake from Brembo. The wheels will be 18-inch ones and these will be spoked.

Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 Design

The new Harley Davidson Pan American 1250 will have a unique design. It will be something not seen on roads yet. The bike gets an aggressive looking rectangular headlamp. This will be an LED one. This look will make it distinctive.

It will have spoked wheel, which will be 18-inch ones. There will be off-road tyres on it to make it condusive for off roading. The bike has an upward swept exhaust  which allows better water wading ability and has a high ground clearance as well. The wide handlebar features knuckle guards as well. The seat is a two piece step seat and looks wide enough to be comfortable.

The engine gets a protective plate underneath and there is place to mount panniers too. The bike will get a fully digital instrument pod, It will have bluetooth connectivity and also navigation on the move. There will be features like traction control, different riding modes, switchable ABS etc. Not much is yet known about the bike.

Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 Top Speed

The top speed of the Pan America 1250 would be around 180km/h. This would not be an out an out high performance bike but would focus on good torque and off-roading capabilities, while offering good cruising ability too. The riding experience will be focussed upon more and there would be many electronics to support that .
