The new 2019 Suzuki Gixxer Suzuki has just launched at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which means it costs Rs 12,000 more than the older model and this is the same increase in price we saw for the updated fully-faired Gixxer SF. The Gixxer series has been the most successful motorcycles for Suzuki in India. Gixxer fans swear by the overall handling and performance of this bike, not to forget the way it looks. This new design is a little bit more different. The new 2019 Gixxer gets not many updates as it is a facelift and. This will include cosmetic changes. The engine, transmission and braking system will remain unchanged.

The new 2019 Gixxer will retain the chassis of the current bike. The Gixxer is, in reality, a Gixxer SF without the fairing, the mechanical bits on them remain the same. The stying is also not that different, this naked motorcycle features a new headlight, which is an LED unit and so is the new tail-light, both of which might be shared with the upcoming Gixxer 250. They feature the same fuel tank, split seat and alloy wheels with the SF. Some of these components also remain unchanged from the older Gixxer 155 variants. There will be a new headlamp cluster. A new LED headlamp will be seen on this. Then there will be an all-new instrument pod. This will be a digital one but will get a better resolution screen. The handlebar is expected to be changed as well. There will be a new fuel tank, which will be sleek and sharper to look at.

The engine of the new 2019 Gixxer will remain the same 154.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine from the SF. There will not any change in this. It is a very capable engine and Suzuki would not want to disturb anything in that. This single-cylinder engine and produces 14bhp of power and 14Nm of peak torque. The refinement of this motor is also one of the USPs. The gearbox also will be the same which is a 5-speed unit. It is a slick shifting unit and gels well with the engine. The bike will continue to have a kick starter, along with electric start.

As the new 2019 Suzuki Gixxer will have the same engine, the top speed, this bike will have a top speed of around 130km/h. The 2019 Gixxer has nimble handling and good straight-line stability as well.
