2018 Honda Navi launched at ₹ 48,000 (on-road)

HMSI has launched the 2018 Honda Navi. This scooter-motorcycle combo has been a unique offering in the country by Honda. It is priced at ₹ 48,000 (on-road, Delhi). The Navi now comes with additional features like a new fuel gauge and metal muffler protector. It also gets new colours. The 2018 Honda Navi is a trendy two wheeler, aimed and young riders who take to a two wheeler for the first time. There were rumors that the Navi shall be discontinued by Honda, however, the company has launched an upgraded version now. This establishes the fact that Honda is very positive about the Navi and it has quite a following in the market.

2018 Honda Navi Price in India

Honda Navi is a lot more affordable than the Activa 5G. Its price is also one of the main reasons why you should buy it.

2018 Honda Navi Design

The 2018 Honda Navi looks exactly identical to the earlier model. It’s styling is as striking as before. The motorcycle type design is its USP. The tyres are bigger than a regular scooter and these are tubeless as well. Not targeting utility, the Navi has been designed for fun commuting. That is exactly what the new Navi is all about. It certainly turns heads wherever it goes. The design is not complicated and is quite simple. It is also a very usable  machine.

The 2018 Navi is designed like a motorcycle and it does not offer the values of a scooter. It does not have a closed storage space. The seat is smaller and narrower than a scooter but that also makes it fun to ride. It is tighter on seat space for two, as compared to a scooter. The seating is not high and is the same seat height of the Honda Activa, from which it is derived. However, one can opt for a lockable compartment that fits below the fuel tank. This is available as an accessory.

2018 Honda Navi Mileage

With the same Activa 5G engine, the mileage is good enough. The lighter body weight results in a slightly better mileage. The only downside is that the fuel tank on the Navi is smaller than 4 litres. However, it is stable for city riding.

2018 Honda Navi Specifications

The Navi uses the same 110cc Honda Activa 5G engine. It delivers about 8bhp of power and 8Nm of torque. The Activa engine is known to be a refined and a smooth unit. The Navi is lighter than the Activa and hence has better performance too. The power delivery is instant. Hence, it is fun to ride the Navi.

The bigger wheels on the 2018 Honda Navi give it good handling. It is a lot more peppy than the Activa. It absorbs bumps well and has good ride quality. The Navi also gets tubeless tyres, which is an added advantage. It comes with electric start and there is a kick starter too.

2018 Honda Navi Colours

The Honda Navi comes in five colour options. These are Patriot Red, Shashta White, Black, Hopper Green and Sparky Orange. There are 2 new colour schemes also introduced.

2018 Honda Navi India Dimensions

There is no change in the dimension of the Navi. It remains identical to the earlier model. This is a bike with very compact dimensions and thus a boon for city usage. It is easy to park and wind through narrow lanes or even in heavy traffic.
