2019 Ford Freestyle might get an automatic option

Ford India has seen a good growth in its sales. The Freestyle and Ecosport are contributing good numbers. Recently, Anurag Mehrotra stated that the company is expecting a jump in sales for petrol engine. There is a good possibility that now that Ford will be getting the Freestyle with a petrol automatic engine. The Freestyle has been a well accepted product. The car has been doing good numbers in the market. The 2019 Ford Freestyle is expected to do have same reception.

2019 Ford Freestyle Price

The pricing of the 2019 Ford Freestyle will remain very aggressive and stay the same. Both the Figo and Aspire are highly localized products and the Freestyle is too. Ford has priced the Freestyle just above the Figo. Buyers opting for sedan will have the Aspire and those looking at adventure will have the option of the Freestyle. Ford is offering a lot of features and has made it highly competitive like the Ecosport.

2019 Ford Freestyle Mileage

For the petrol variant the combined mileage is around 12km/l – 16km/l. For the diesel the mileage is good, its 19km/l – 24km/l. The petrol automatic will have a lower mileage.

2019 Ford Freestyle Interiors

There won’t be mush changed when it comes to the interior of the 2019 Ford Freestyle. Built on the Figo platform, the Freestyle is a all new product. It comes with similar dimensions to the Figo. Soon a facelift is expected for the Figo and Aspire. We don’t think the Freestyle even though it’s based on the Figo platform will get a facelift. Ford will continue to offer a stylish cabin with all the bells and whistles for someone that is looking at this price.

On the inside of the 2019 Ford Freestyle an all new interior will be offered. There shall be stylish dashboard. This will be similar to the new Ecosport. It will still offer a large touchscreen system. There shall also be more features on offer like reverse camera, push start and stop, climate control and even six airbags. The interiors of the Freestyle will see a new dashboard; apart from that it will be the same like the Figo. This will be all black interiors. There will be spacious front seats, while the rear will be decent in knee room and head room for tall passengers.

The car will see changes to its center console and setup if and when the automatic gearbox comes to the petrol varient

There could be a good leather seat option coming to the 2019 Ford Freestyle. The bootspace is sufficient and will remain the same.

2019 Ford Freestyle Design

The 2019 Ford Freestyle will be a model year product. No major changes are expected. The design language will be the same. There are no changes expected from the front or rear of this car. The car will have no changes in it’s dimensions too.

The Figo and the Aspire are due for a facelift. And even though the Ford Freestyle is based on the FIgo, it won’t get the facelift. There could be new accessories and things like a new grille and some type of sports package that can come.

2019 Ford Freestyle Specifications

There shall be a 1.2-litre Dragon petrol engine, which will be a new engine. This will churn about 95bhp of power and will be a 3-cylinder mill. In terms of transmission, there shall be a five-speed manual. Ford claims this will be a new transmission. We reckon the same one that is offered with the Dragon engine on the Ecosport as well. Along with this new engine, there is a speculation that the 2019 Ford freestyle will get an automatic gearbox. This automatic gearbox will come only with the petrol motor. There will be a 1.5-litre petrol automatic on offer. For diesel lovers, the 1.5-litre diesel engine will be available and will make about 98bhp of power and close to 215Nm of torque. This will also be offered with a five-speed manual. No diesel automatic folks.

2019 Ford Freestyle Colors

The Freestyle will be available in 6 colours:

White Gold Metallic.

Smoke Grey.

Oxford White.

Moondust Silver.

Canyon-ridge.

Absolute Black.

There is no hint or reason from Ford to change this color option list. New summer colors like blue, green, red and yellow could come.

2019 Ford Freestyle Competition

When it comes to competition, the 2019 Ford Freestyle will go up against the Honda WRV, the Fiat Urban Cross, the Hyundai i20 Active and the Etios Cross.
