New Volvo XC60 2018

The Volvo XC60 is showing its age and is due for a replacement. The New Volvo XC60 2018 will be replacing the outgoing model. It is based on the company’s SPA platform. The new XC60 was also spotted on test in Amsterdam.

New Volvo XC60 2018 Release Date

The new Volvo XC60 will be launched by late 2017 and will be made available for delivery by early 2018.

New Volvo XC60 2018 Exterior

Not much can be noticed about the exterior design. The test mules seem to be wearing thick camouflage. This makes it difficult to understand what is underneath the skin. The Thor hammer inspired LED headlamps will come on the XC60. Then, there will be the oblong grille that is a combination through out the Volvo range. We reckon, the design will be a lot more sporty and aggressive.

There isn’t a major change in the dimensions as it is expected to continue with a similar length 4,628 (182.2 in) on the new-gen too.Volvo is looking at adding a long wheelbase for better interior room.

New Volvo XC60 2018 Interior

Volvo’s interiors have been one of the best in its segment and XC60 won’t be any different. The dashoard will be similar to the XC90. This will make it look appealing and the SUV will be feature loaded as well. This will include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a large touchscreen infotainment system, Volvo’s Pilot Assist II, the semi-autonomous system could also make its way into the XC60.

It will also feature an automatic boot opening like the XC90.

New Volvo XC60 2018 Engine

Too early to predict anything, but the XC90’s 245bhp (350Nm/258lb-ft) 2.0-litre petrol engine will be made available on the XC60. A plug-in hybrid is too on the cards. For Europe a 2.0-litre diesel is also being considered. It is believed that XC60 will mark the entry of three-cylinder engines.

This will be the first large SUV to get such a small engine. There will be front-wheel and all-wheel drive options on this Volvo.

New Volvo XC60 2018 Price

For US, the Volvo XC60 will be priced at about $37,500. While in Europe/UK, the hover about 25,000-28,000 mark for the base model.
