Mahindra Thar DayBreak Edition – Looks AWESOME!

Mahindra Thar DayBreak edition was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.

This new Thar will be sold only through Mahindra customisation. Mahindra Customisation was launched in 2007 and since then it has been churning out different customised variants of the Scorpio, Bolero, Logan and even the Thar. As the company is growing it has been adding more products to its portfolio. 

Mahindra Thar DayBreak Edition Features

The Mahindra Thar DayBreak Edition has LEDs in its head lamps, auxiliary lamp and wider bonnet. The Thar will get red colour inserts and matte grey body colour. This will have 37-inch Maxxis Trepador off-road tyres and even winch.

There shall be a full-size spare tyre, LED tail lamps, dual-chrome exhaust and blacked out front grille. The ground clearance too has been enhanced.

Mahindra Thar DayBreak Price

The hard top version will be about INR 1.8 lakhs cheaper. The duration to get this made is about two months.

Mahindra Customisation is based in Pune and some of the stuff is still done in Mumbai. So, for those who are in other parts of the country, will have to drive it down here.

Mahindra Thar DayBreak Interiors

On the inside, the DayBreak gets Thar branding, silver AC vents and silver accented steering wheel as well. For better support from the seats, Sparo rally seats are used. It even gets roll bar and rear axle differential locks. This means it can compete with the Force Gurkha 4x4x4. There is even a touchscreen system with four waterproof features.

Mahindra Thar DayBreak Engine

There is no change in the engine specifications. It is the same 2.5-litre diesel engine that produces 105bhp and 247Nm of torque. It will get the same 5-speed manual and differential locks too. Due to 37-inch tyres, there will be a drop in the performance. The Thar DayBreak will be low on mileage too, as this will increase the weight of the vehicle. At the same time, it will even have a choppy ride as well.
