Hero Passion Pro iSmart Design

There isn’t much to be played in this segment. Hence, Hero won’t be making major design changes on this new bike. These will be mostly aesthetic changes. However, Hero shall be using this new platform that has been indigenously developed by them. This is likely to be derived from the new Splendor platform.

There shall be two variants, one that will have alloy and other that will get spoke. In terms of brakes, there will be a drum brake and a front disc brake option too. The

This time, the engine is likely to have a lesser tilt. These are the new-generation engines, so we expect them to be more vertical. Hero’s design language has been evolving and the company is looking at catering younger buyers for this bike. The Splendor is more for the serious buyers.

Hero Passion Pro iSmart Engine

The 100cc engine on the Passion Pro iSmart has been developed by Hero again. This new bike gets the i3S technology. This is the start-stop technology. The updated engine comes with improvement in power and even fuel efficiency. The engine has been tuned to meet the BS IV emissions. This will be the first 100cc bike that will have BS IV norms. This engine produces about 8bhp of power and 8Nm of torque. It will come with a four-speed transmission. This is the first Passion Pro to have an engine of more than 100cc.

All other Passions have been running on the same engine without any changes made to it.

Hero Passion Pro iSmart Mileage

As this is a BS-IV engine, there will be a drop in the mileage. We expect the bike to return close to 75 km/l. This will be lower than the current bike, but that will be the case for all the bikes too. The Splendor iSmart 100, had a mileage of about 90 km/l, this will see a reduction despite being the same engine. This is because it will now become BS-IV complaint engine.

Hero Passion Pro iSmart Competition

The TVS Victor is one of the strongest competition to the Passion Pro iSmart. Then there is competition from Honda Livo, Yamaha Saluto RX and then there is the Splendor too. Bajaj Platina ES is another strong competing product with this bike. Hero is looking at getting updates to multiple bikes. With the iSmart technology, the Passion Pro will have an advantage over the competition.

This time the Passion Pro will also come in dual colour options. Hero has been using this formula for its new bikes. This has been working well. So, some of the bikes on offer will have dual colours too. Some common colours like red, black and white are likely to be retained.
