Benelli TNT 135 spotted on test. Launch in 2017

Benelli TNT 135 will be launched later this year. This bike was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. A naked bike that caters to a niche segment. This will be a volume product for the brand, however it won’t be as mass as the other 150cc bikes. This bike will be rounded off with stylish looks, performance and efficiency. The new Benelli TNT 135 has been spotted on test. This new bike will be the smallest Benelli on sale in India.

Benelli TNT 135 Design

The Benelli TNT 135 is a naked sport motorcycle. It has got a street fighter styling and an aggressive stance.

The bikini fairing in the front has sharp cuts and a chiseled look.

The tank shrouds are well integrated with the tank and the design has a smooth flowing lines upto the tail. The seat has a two tone colour. The bike comes shod with 12 -inch alloy wheels disc brakes at the front and rear. The bike rides on 12-inch 120/70 front and 130/70 rear tyres that provides great stability on roads. The exhaust of the bike is particularly interesting and jets out from under the swing arm. The mirrors are cute looking ones. The bike will have twin exhaust pipes.

This naked bike comes equipped with an upside-down front fork 41mm and a rear swingarm with lateral shock absorber with spring pre-load adjustment suspension system. Its braking system includes 220mm steel and 190mm disc front and rear brakes respectively. This monkey bike has a fuel tank capacity of 7.5 litres.

Benelli TNT 135 Engine

The Benelli TNT 135 Naked T is powered by a single cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 4 valve, double spark, 135cc engine that is paired to a five-speed transmission. This engine churns out  12.6bhp of max power and 10Nm of max torque. This engine should have good performance, and somewhat equivalent to that of a 160cc bike. The numbers do not seem encouraging, however we expect it to have good power daily riding. At the same time, the exhaust note will be sporty.

Benelli TNT 135 Top Speed

We reckon the top speed of the TNT 135 should be close to 120 km/hr. The bike will have short gearing, except maybe for the overdrive gear. This will be tall for a better top speed and relaxed cruising.

Benelli TNT 135 Launch Date

The Benelli TNT 135 was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016. The company hasn’t yet revealed launch timeline of the bike but we expect it to arrive later this year. This will be their new bike that will be competing with several mass sports bikes. This will be the most affordable bike from Benelli for the Indian car market. The new Benelli TNT 135 will be launched by early 2017, from what we understand.

Benelli TNT 135 Price in India

The Benelli TNT 135 sportsbike is likely to be priced around INR 1.5 lakhs (on-road). Bentley is still importing the bikes and assembling in India, hence the price is on the higher side.

While, the competition is offering 200cc bikes at this price point. This will make it a good enough offering for those who are looking at a good brand and good exhaust.
