TVS Akula 310 Design

TVS Akula310

TVS Akula 310 is a sports bike, which has full fairing. This two-wheeler has been designed to have low height for the seat, you will have to sit with the gear shifts being a bit behind.

The new TVS Akula 310 has an aluminium sub-frame, which will make it lighter in weight. In this manner, this bike will not just more fun but even more powerful as well. Lighter body weight translates into better dynamics and power.

The dorsal fin and even the heat management system will help to increase the bike’s aerodynamics. The TVS Akula 310 has been designed to look aggressive. The TVS Akula 310 concept showcased was very sharp, and some of those elements might not make it into production. The bike does look stylish and trendy in the spyshots. It even seems to be low in height as well. This could be a bigger version of the Yamaha R15. The TVS Akula 310 should get a digital speedometer and a different set of alloy wheels too. There is a neat looking windshield on the TVS Akula 310.

TVS should price the Akula 310 at about INR 1.75 lakhs to INR 195 lakhs (on-road). Now, the only challenge is that the Bajaj Dominar 400 is a lot more cheaper. TVS Akula 310 Top Speed

TVS Akula 310 Top Speed

Engine Top Speed
313cc 145 km/hr

We reckon the top speed of this new 313cc motorcycle should be about 145 km/hr. This will make it a good option to consider for city riding. TVS will look at pricing this bike under cutting the BMW G310R. This is the only it will be able to sell more than them. And the other important aspect is the pricing somewhat in the range of Duke 250. This will attract a lot more buyers to the TVS range of dealerships. In this manner, the company will be able to pull many KTM potential buyers towards its brand adding more enthusiasts to its list.

TVS Akula 310 0-100 km/hr

This new TVS bike should have a 0-100km/hr is about 7 seconds. This should be a around that of the BMW G310R. The Beemer does it in 6.8  seconds, so we reckon, the TVS’ number should be close to 7. This will be the same engine, chassis with some difference in the tuning. These new bikes won’t be at par with the KTM RC390 as the engine is smaller. As the bike should be a tad heavier and at the same time, it has a smaller engine also.

TVS Akula 310 Engine and Transmission

A new 313cc single-cylinder engine powers the TVS Akula 310. This engine shall deliver 34bhp of power at 9,500rpm while the torque shall be 28Nm at 7,500rpm. This torque will be transmitted though a six-speed transmission. As this is a single cylinder engine, it will be more torque. However, as this is a full fairing bike, the engine will be tuned for smoother acceleration. This engine has been designed and developed by BMW and TVS has tested and tweaked it for the Akula 310. There will be some engines in the characteristics of this engine as TVS would have made it more smooth and linear for daily riding. As this is a fully-faired bike, this will have lesser torque and high revs.

The TVS Akula 310 will have a six-speed transmission. This box should be smooth and easy shifting one. The clutch will be soft too. The positioning of the gear should be a bit behind the seat to make it more like a sports bike seating.

TVS Akula 310 Competition

TVS Akula 310 shall compete directly with the KTM RC 390. It will also be a competitor to the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Yamaha R3. Thought latter two are twin cylinder machines, they are full faired bikes like the Akula. On the other hand, the other competing bikes include the BMW G310R, Mahindra Mojo, Bajaj Dominar 400, Yamaha FZ25, KTM Duke 250 and Duke 390. TVS is doing exactly what Bajaj has done, offering global technology at a highly affordable pricing.
